Transfer money with ease

MapCash - the latest player in the money transfer business - will be using debit cards and ATMs to send money cheaply and safely to 14 Caribbean locations.

Customers will be able to send and receive cash in more than 70 nations worldwide through the new debit-card-based money-transfer system started by Eli Popack and Chesky Malamud of Brooklyn. In the Caribbean, outlets in the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Haiti, Jamaica, Antigua, Bermuda, St. Kitts, Nevis, Montserrat, Dominica, St. Vincent and Grenadines, Barbados, St. Lucia and Grenada are taking part in the service, said a company spokesman.

Senders and receivers must register to use the service and receive MapCash cards. The sender - for a fee - then loads money on a debit card at any of the more than 3,500 sending/receiving locations worldwide. The receiver can go to any of these outlets or specified ATM locations to withdraw the cash.

Register for a card at www.mapcash.com or by phone by calling (866) 244-9688. For information, call MapCash at (877) MAP-CASH. (627-2274).
